Caitlin Graduates From Juniata College!

My daughter Caitlin graduated from Juniata College this weekend!
It just seemed like yesterday that we had arrived at this beautiful campus for freshmen orientation and now Caitlin was walking across the stage to receive her bachelor’s degree.
With rain clouds threatening, workers packed up the white folding chairs set out for the outdoor ceremony and everyone was directed into the gymnasium.

Caitlin's Graduation Ceremony

Caitlin graduated with a hybrid degree in Spanish and entrepreneurship. At Juniata, they call majors programs of emphasis.

Caitlin & Ben

Caitlin and her brother Ben, who just finished his freshman year at Beloit College,  celebrating after the nearly three-hour graduation ceremony!

Friends since high school

Caitlin and her friend Walky, who have been friends from high school, both attended Juniata College. At their freshmen orientation four years ago, the two girls posed at this very spot and wanted to end their college together at the same spot. The building behind them is the oldest on the campus  — and my favorite.

The Family

Caitlin, brother, dad and yours truly. It was a happy day. We are now packing up Caitlin’s house and all flying back to San Diego. Happily, Caitlin has a job waiting for her in San Diego. She will be doing social media, graphic design and various marketing for an educational toy company a block from the beach. Sweet!

  1. Lynn – Congratulations to you and your lovely daughter! It does seem like just yesterday since I heard you speak at my son’s high school. He has just completed his first year of college.
You have provided so much beneficial information through the years. It has certainly helped in our case. I highly recommend your site and books to others.
