A College Game Plan for High School Seniors

The other day I brought up the “E” word with my son.

Ben is about to start his senior year in high school and he needs to begin thinking about the college admission essay that he’s going to write.

Ben’s reaction was typical of a lot of seniors:  He groaned. Undeterred, I  told him that he really needed to start thinking about potential topics because the semester is going to fly by.

Writing the college essay is just one of the many things that high school seniors are going to have to juggle in the months leading up to completing their college applications.

After all these years of contemplating this milestone, it’s actually upon these kids. It’s intimidating to think about what needs to be done, which is why a lot of families are going to need help keeping organized.

Consequently, I’d suggest that parents and teenagers use the College Application Calendar, which you can find at CollegeBoard.com.
