I wrote about a survey that explains what these teenagers dread the most about the college application season. As we speak, my son is grappling with the Common Application.

Surviving the University Crisis in California

I wrote this post about the financial crisis at the University of California and Cal State systems. With state support continuing to drop, fewer students are able to attend these universities. At the same time, the University of California campuses are trying to attract more out-of-state and international students to pay the bills.
