College blogging in Baltimore

I can’t devote much time to my college blog today because I’m heading to Baltimore for the annual meeting of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. (It’s hard to imagine a clunkier name and the organization’s acronym NACAC rhymes with the name of the supplemental insurance company that runs those irritating ads with the duck.)

Anyway, there are going to be 5,100 attendees, including admission officers, high school and independent counselors, higher-ed exhibitors and a few blogging journalists. This national group generates headlines every fall when it meets and I hope to share some of that news with you.

FYI, I’ll be making my own news soon when I unveil an entirely new look for my college blog. I had really wanted to have my new blog in place before I left for Baltimore, but it might not work out. Please keep checking back because I think you will like the new face of TheCollegeSolutionBlog.com. With any luck, it will be up soon.

To give you a sneak peak, I’ve attached what will be the new banner for my blog. Of course, it won’t be smushed when it’s stretched across the top of the blog:
